SC/CHEM 4093 3.0: Biomaterials Chemistry

The course has been developed by Prof. Tsoukanova for Science and Engineering students at YorkU as an introduction to materials used in biomedical applications. Over the years, the course has been a popular elective among students. Prof. Tsoukanova no longer teaches this course.  

SC/CHEM 1500 4.0: Introduction to Chemistry

The course is designed as an introduction to chemistry for the diverse student population at YorkU. The course reviews the basic concepts of chemistry and helps students with various backgrounds to prepare for the first year chemistry courses. The course is offered every fall term. 

SC/CHEM 3011 3.0: Physical Chemistry

The course provides an in-depth analysis to the origin of kinetics rate laws for students with background in chemistry, physics and biology. Reactions in the gas phase, in solutions and at interfaces are discussed with examples drawn from atmospheric and industrial chemistry, biosensing, pharmaceutical and food sciences. 

The course is offered every fall term.
